FAQ - Friendly asked question

I have tried to answer some of the questions I receive by email on this FAQ page. You are welcome to write to me if you have any other questions.

How old do I have to be to play Bingo?
You have to be at least 18 years old to play Bingo online, as it falls under the conventional gambling legislation.

Do I have to download any special software to play Bingo on my computer?
No, you don't have to download any special software to play in most of the bingo halls on the net, the game is played in your Internet browser.

What is a Jackpot?
A jackpot is the biggest prize you can win from a provider, and it can be anything from 1000£ to over 100.000£ at some of the biggest Bingo halls.

How do I collect my winnings?
Most providers will pay you in the same way you pay them; if you have transferred money from your Internet bank, your winnings will be paid out via a bank transfer, which usually takes 3-4 days from the initiation of the transfer until the money is in your account. If you have paid by credit card, your winnings will be transferred to your credit card.

Best way to pay?
I can definitely recommend that you pay with your credit card because that's the quickest way to transfer money, and the money will be in your bingo account a few seconds after it was withdrawn from your credit card. When money is paid out to you, it's transferred to the account that is connected to your credit card. Very smart and very simple.

How many bingo rooms are there online?
Well, that’s hard to say exactly, but I'm guessing there are roughly 300, but only 50 of them are legitimate. The top professional ones are listed in my top 10 on the start page.

Where can I play Bingo for free?
There are a lot of gambling sites that offer free bingo 24/7, but they don’t actually give you the chance of winning anything, at best a few points, but, unlike the providers I recommend on this page, they don’t give you any real money. Should you still want to play for free just to pass some time, you can go to playandwin.co.uk.

Is there a strategy to playing bingo?
There is, as far as I know, no strategy that you can use to improve you chances of winning, but your chances of winning will obviously be higher the more cards you buy. But if you know of a good strategy that works, you’re very welcome to write to me and tell my about it, and I will forward it on this page.

How do I chat with my co-players?
It's very easy! When you are logged on to a game of bingo, the chat is located on the left or on the right side of the page, and you can write whatever you want, but remember to keep it pleasant, or you risk getting banned which means that you will no longer be able to chat with your co-players, which isn't that great since the chat helps to make the game more interesting.

How do I buy bingo cards?
You have to be logged on to the bingo site you have chosen to play on to be able to buy cards, and it's very easy to buy cards before the game starts. You only have to choose what hall you want to play in and choose the number of cards you want to buy. You can buy anything from 1 card to around 30 cards. But remember to use the auto-marker if you have 10 cards or more, or else it will be impossible to keep track of all the announced numbers.

How much do the cards cost?
It varies a lot, but the rule of thumb is that the more expensive the cards are, the bigger the jackpot will be. It's not however always that way, so make sure that you find out how big the jackpot is before you buy cards and decide if it suits your expectations and your wallet.

What if I forget an announced number on my card?
All the halls I recommend on this page have a function where you can press a button, and the numbers will be automatically checked on your cards if you have forgotten some. But if for instance you're chatting and have a conversation going, you can activate the auto-mark function, which will automatically check your cards, and you don't have to move a finger. And should you win, it will be automatically announced.
